The R.M.S.Titanic was a luxury ocean liner considered to be an unsinkable ship. It set sail on April 10th,1912 from Southampton, England. Four days later, it hit an iceberg and sank. More than 1500 people died and 705 people survived. In 1985, a scientist discovered the wreck of the Titanic. You probably have many questions about the Titanic. How long did it take to build the ship? What was it like to be a passenger on the ship? What happened to the people who survived? Where were they headed? What does R.M.S. stand for? As we read Tonight on the Titanic we will have opportunities to research some of the questions you may have!
